Fire Alarm Systems

Logiscan Security Systems Ltd specialise in Fire detection and alarm systems. Each system is carefully designed and engineered to provide the most appropriate level of protection as required.
In the UK the provision of fire detection systems and the certification of such systems is divided into four modules:

  • Design of the system. This is usually conducted to take into account the requirements of a formal Fire Risk Assessment, which is a mandatory requirement for all business premises.
  • Installation. We are able to provide a complete installation and project management service for fire alarm systems ranging from small offices and shops through to large, multi-site systems integrated with various other mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Testing and Commissioning. We are to provide a complete testing and commissioning service for systems in compliance with BS5839.
  • Routine and Emergency Maintenance. We are able to provide routine, planned and emergency maintenance programmes for most fire alarm systems. This includes scheduled testing and reporting together with a 24 hour back up service facility.

Complete One Stop Package. We are able to offer a complete one-stop package for all the above elements and work closely with architects, design consultants and clients to provide a total solution.

We are not tied to any particular manufacturer and can therefore source most leading brands of open protocol fire detection equipment. We are able to provide expertise in conventional fire detection systems, analogue addressable intelligent fire alarm systems, and gaseous extinguishing systems for high risk applications. We are able to provide standard point detection devices (such as optical smoke detectors), linear heat detection beams, aspirating detection systems (air sampling technology) and video smoke detection systems for specialized applications. We are able to provide wired systems (fire grade and resistant cable), radio based solutions or hybrid systems that combine both hard wired and radio based technologies.
